Cadejo Brewing Company was established by two childhood friends in 2012. They hoped to return to El Salvador after living abroad and create a beer forged by their dedication and innovation. Their mission was to elaborate a variety of beers produced with the highest of quality. Beers with as much character as the legend their name is based on.

As the legend goes the gods created two creatures meant to protect the townsfolk. These huge dog-like creatures had eyes as red as fire. One of them was white as foam and considered the guardian of light. The other was coal-black and lived in the shadows, it’s said that he would scare lost souls into the right path in life. Mythologically they represent the duality of human beings.

At the time this re-branding was elaborated, El Salvador’s independence day (Sept. 15) had just passed. To honor Salvadoran culture and heritage, a special edition set of beers was created celebrating Salvadoran culture and folklore.

This re-brand would give Cadejo a more graphic and modern spin to its current image, whilst maintaining the brand’s tone and identity. This was achieved by creating intricate line work to better tell their story, and transmit their message.
